Founding partnerships

Become a founding partner practice.

theaifd is taking on a small first group of UK accountancy practices as founding partners. Over 90 days we take on VAT ready bookkeeping and accounts production for a set of your clients, measure what changes, and you decide what happens next.

Who is a founding partnership for?

A founding partnership is for UK accountancy practices that want to grow without adding people at the same rate. It suits practices that send production offshore today, and practices whose teams spend most of the week chasing receipts and preparing routine work.

Your clients can be on Xero or QuickBooks, or keep their records in bank statements and spreadsheets. You keep your own practice software and your own way of working with clients.

What happens in a 90 day founding pilot?

We choose a representative set of your clients together, a mix of straightforward and awkward ones, so the pilot shows how theaifd copes with real work rather than the easiest files. theaifd then prepares their VAT ready bookkeeping and annual accounts for the 90 days.

The scope and the price for each client are agreed in writing before any records move, so there are no surprises. A short check in with the team each week keeps the pilot on track, and there are fuller reviews at day 30, day 60 and day 90.

What do we measure in the pilot?

Five things, shared with you at every check in: the turnaround from complete records to delivery, the exceptions raised and why, the time your own reviewer spends, how much the first drafts needed changing, and how your team and your clients found it.

At day 90 you receive a written summary of those measures, so the decision about what comes next rests on your own numbers.

Who is responsible for what?

theaifd prepares the work, and a qualified accountant at AI Finance Partners reviews it and signs off the production, with every step recorded. Your practice keeps the client relationship, its own software and the final approval of anything sent to the client, and files the work itself.

theaifd never contacts your clients unless you ask it to in writing. Requests for missing documents go only once a person releases them, and any reminders to your clients go in your practice's name, and only if you choose to switch them on.

What happens to our clients' data?

Your practice is the controller and AI Finance Partners is your processor under Article 28 of the UK GDPR. A mutual NDA and data processing terms are signed before any records move.

Each practice works in a space of its own, with its own database. Client data is never sold and never used to train models, everyone at AI Finance Partners signs a confidentiality agreement before they can sign in, and every view and change sits in the audit trail.

What do founding partners give in return?

Honest feedback while the pilot runs, a frank view at the end, and permission to describe the results as a case study. You choose whether your practice is named or anonymous, and nothing is published without your approval.

What happens at day 90?

You decide. Carry on with the same clients on agreed terms, add more clients, change the scope, or stop. Nothing in the pilot commits you to continuing, and once live, either side may end the agreement on 30 days' notice.

How do we start?

Book a 30 minute call on Google Meet. We look at where your team's hours go, check that theaifd fits your clients, and if it does, choose the clients for your pilot together.
