The machine prepares. The accountant decides.

How theaifd prepares and checks your work.

theaifd prepares the work automatically, checks it independently, and only releases it after four recorded human decisions at AI Finance Partners. Your practice then reviews it, records its verdict and sends it to the client under its own name.

How does a job move through theaifd?

A job moves through four recorded human gates: data complete, technical review, partner sign off and release. At each gate a named person records a decision and the time, and the job cannot move on without it.

When the job is released, your practice receives the work with a downloadable audit trail, reviews it and records its verdict: approved, approved with changes, or sent back.

How do we know where a figure came from?

Every figure in theaifd carries its evidence. The source document, the page, how confidently it was read and its tax treatment travel with the number, and any correction sits beside the original reading rather than over it.

How is the preparation checked?

A second model checks the preparation without seeing the first model's reasoning. Where the two agree the figure moves on; where they differ, the difference is shown and the year cannot be finalised until a person resolves it. If the check could not run, the work is labelled as not challenged for the reviewer.

Fixed rules sit underneath both. A result the evidence does not support is blocked, and anything unknown becomes a question for a person rather than a guess. Where an open question could change a Self Assessment result materially, the computation shows a range.

What work can theaifd prepare today?

theaifd prepares receipts and bookkeeping, Self Assessment, corporation tax computations and management accounts for UK practices. It is a production service run on the platform today. Self service software for practices is a future direction.

Does theaifd file returns or change our clients' ledgers?

No. theaifd does not file with HMRC or Companies House, does not post to client ledgers and does not contact your clients, unless your practice asks in writing for that job. Connections to Xero are read only, and receipt matches are proposals that a person confirms.

Is client data used to train models?

No. Client data is never sold and never used to train models. Your practice is the controller and AI Finance Partners is your processor under Article 28 of the UK GDPR.
